Boise Contemporary Theater:
Evolving Brand for an Evolving institution

 

Situation

Boise Contemporary Theater has been the only professional theater company devoted solely to contemporary works for 21 years. To kick off their third decade, the theater elected to broaden their programming to include and attract more patrons. Faced with a fast-approaching deadline, W Design was tapped to create a new look that communicates the  diversity and energy of the new season.

Solution

W Design started with a youthful color palette and a marquee-inspired season logo. Black and white images of actors, props and other key imagery are used in collages. A funky dot pattern is a nod to the urban location of the theater. Strong diagonal lines are used throughout the campaign to evoke the energetic and unexpected performances in store.
